Craving a comforting and flavorful dish? Try our Braised Celery with Herbs! This simple recipe transforms celery into a tender and aromatic side dish, perfect for complementing your main meals. Slow cooking allows the celery to develop rich and deep flavors while maintaining a pleasant texture.


  • 8 celery stalks, cut into 5 cm pieces

  • 1 onion, sliced

  • 2 garlic cloves, minced

  • 1 cup vegetable broth

  • 2 to 3 tablespoons olive oil

  • 1 tablespoon fresh thyme, chopped

  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped

  • Salt and pepper to taste


  1. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.

  2. Add the onions and garlic, and sauté until tender and fragrant.

  3. Add the celery pieces to the skillet and sauté for 5 minutes until they begin to soften.

  4. Pour the vegetable broth into the skillet and add the thyme and parsley.

  5. Cover the skillet and simmer on low heat for 20-25 minutes, until the celery is tender.

  6. Season with salt and pepper before serving.

Notes : you can prepare them in advance and reheat them in the oven or microwave when you need them.
