Blue Bonnets
Micro-farm
Site History
Covering one hectare of the former Blue Bonnets racetrack, our Blue Bonnets Micro-farm is nestled in an area where nature has reclaimed its place for over 20 years.
In the spring of 2024, MultiCaf was entrusted by the Borough of Côte-des-Neiges–Notre-Dame-de-Grâce to develop an agricultural site on this historic land.
While awaiting the future neighborhood development, this temporary-use project aims to create an urban farm that promotes food autonomy, education, and community engagement.
On-site, we grow a wide variety of vegetables in open fields, which are then distributed to the neighborhood’s vulnerable community through our solidarity mobile market and cafeteria.
This initiative helps supply MultiCaf’s food services while ensuring access to fresh, local produce for residents.
