A space dedicated to the wellbeing of Côte-des-Neiges families
Why a Family Room ?
Our family room was designed to provide a welcoming, safe and comfortable place where children can play and eat while their parents receive the social or food support they need.
This space helps reduce the stress and barriers families face when seeking help, offering them dignity, comfort and a sense of belonging.
Impact
Food insecurity is affecting more and more families: according to Moisson Montréal's Hunger Report, more than half of households receiving food assistance in Montreal are families. This figure rose from 47.8% in 2023 to 54.5% in 2024.
Faced with this growing need, we realised that families needed more than just food support: they needed a safe, welcoming space tailored to their specific needs.
With this dedicated space, we hope to:
