About the event
Workshop summary: Learn how to create kokedamas, poetic plant spheres derived from Japanese tradition. Using a mixture of clay, earth and sphagnum moss, you'll grow your plants without a pot, bringing a touch of nature and elegance to your space.
This Japanese plant art is inspired by ancestral Japanese techniques (nearai, bonsai, kusamono, ikebana, etc.), but is much more accessible to all given its simplicity and ease of maintenance. This workshop will provide information on sphagnum mosses and the biodiversity they harbor in natural environments, highlighting the importance of conserving them as part of the celebration of biodiversity.
Activity schedule :
- Reception: Distribution of information leaflets.
- Explanation: Introduction to the art of kokedama and sphagnum moss.
- Creation: Choice of plants, preparation of roots, kokedama-making.
Key points:

- Ecological importance of sphagnum moss and peat bogs.
- Creating and maintaining kokedamas.
